Julie is an educator, performer and devising director with over 20 years of professional experience in regional theatre, television, film and interactive media. Julie holds a BFA in Acting from The Theatre School at DePaul University and her MFA in Acting/Performance Pedagogy from California State University Long Beach. Julie's interest in the interconnectedness of movement, text analysis and unscripted collaboration evolved from her experiences as trained dancer, Viewpoints practitioner, improviser and certified yoga instructor. In both academic and professional training environments, Julie’s work as an arts educator is rooted in a deep curiosity about the intersection of traditional performance training, physical improvisation and contemporary theatrical devising practices.
